A village chief in Iloilo City has been ordered suspended for six months by the Office of the Ombudsman.
The anti-graft court found sufficient grounds to issue the suspension order against Punong Barangay Marites Nava of Libertad in Lapuz district.
The suspension stemmed from a complaint that accused Nava of committing the administrative offense of disgraceful and immoral conduct.
The Ombudsman directed the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to implement the order.
According to DILG – Iloilo City head Oscar Lim, Nava is suspended without pay.IMT
