Iloilo City has recorded its first fatality due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
A 72-year-old man died on March 19 while confined at a hospital in the city, the Department of Health (DOH-6) said in its latest bulletin.
The patient, who had a travel history to Manila, experienced cough and fever.
The DOH-6 did not give further details about the patient, whose test result was released by the DOH-6 on Friday, March 27.
The city currently has two confirmed COVID-19 cases.
The other one is a 61-year-old woman from Mandurriao district. She is confined at The Medical City Iloilo (TMCI). IMT
