The Iloilo City Traffic Management Unit (ICTMU) apprehended more 14 thousand traffic violators in the first six months of 2024.
Based on data from the city government’s ICTMU, a total of 14, 565 individuals committed traffic violations in the city from January to June this year.
Most or 6,048 motorists were found to have violated Ordinance No. 393 1-A, which sets traffic regulations for the city’s streets and highways.
A total of 2,709 were penalized for obstruction of traffic and 1,191 were caught driving vehicles without lights or with defective lights.
Of the violators, 3,739 were motorcycle drivers; 3,502 were private vehicle drivers; and 2,751 were passenger jeepney drivers.IMT
