The Iloilo City Government has scrapped the RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) test requirement for all travelers before entering the metropolis.

Mayor Jerry P. Treṅas issued Executive Order No. 004-D Series of 2022 or “An Order Amending Section (4) Of Executive Order No. 004, S. 2022 And For Other Purposes.”

“The Iloilo City COVID Team resolves to uniformly require all inbound travelers from areas other than Western Visayas and Negros Island to submit themselves to RT-PCR COVID-19 confirmatory test upon arrival,” the EO read.

Under the EO, fully vaccinated travelers arriving in Iloilo City have to submit themselves to RT-PCR testing at the La Paz Plaza covered gym for free.

Meanwhile, partially vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals will immediately undergo quarantine upon arrival in Iloilo City at the city’s designated quarantine facilities or at home.

On the third day of their quarantine, they will undergo RT-PCR testing conducted by the Iloilo USWAG Molecular Laboratory.

Treñas also amended his previous order on protocols for travelers from Negros Island to harmonize the travel requirements imposed by the Bacolod City Government.

For fully vaccinated inbound travelers, the requirements will only be vaccination cards and valid government-issued identification cards.

On the other hand, partially vaccinated and unvaccinated are required to present negative RT-PCR test results obtained within 72 hours prior to and upon arrival in Iloilo City, approved S-Pass and valid government-issued IDs.

Returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) who arrived from countries classified as Red, regardless of vaccination status, are required to complete quarantine under a home quarantine set-up for 14 days from date of arrival and shall likewise undergo RT-PCR testing, five days from date of arrival.IMT
