Iloilo City Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon was admitted to a hospital on Thursday, Aug. 27, after he experienced vomiting and fever.
In a statement, Mayor Jerry P. Treñas disclosed that Ganzon’s X-ray results showed that he “has acute onset pneumonia.”
“His rapid test last night showed negative results, while his swab test result has not yet been released,” he said.
“Upon my advice, his family and all close contacts were swabbed and ordered to go on strict home quarantine so as to ensure everyone’s well-being,” Treñas added.
Ganzon began feeling unwell on Wednesday, August 26.
Treñas asked Ilonggos to pray “for the speedy recovery of Ganzon.”
“Together with the Vice Mayor’s family, we are fervently praying for his speedy recovery, even as we also hope for negative RT-PCR results for everyone. Please include him and his family in your prayers,”he said.IMT
