Vice President Leni Robredo topped the presidential poll in the province and city of Iloilo.
The country’s second highest official earned 579,525 votes in the province and 149,256 votes in the city, data drom the COMELEC Transparency Media Server showed.
Robredo’s opponent, former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr., got 374,144 votes in the province and 85,117 votes in the city.
All the five districts in the province chose Robredo.
The Vice President garnered 98,486 votes in the First District; 112,611 votes in the Second District; 140,705 votes in the Third District; 108,848 votes in the Fourth District; and 118,875 votes in the Fifth District.
The figures were higher compared to Marcos’ 78,482 votes in the First District; 56,373 voteosk in the Second District; 60,417 in the Third District; 90,783 votes in the Fouth District; and 88,089 votes in the Fifth District.
All in all, Robredo got 787,781 votes in Iloilo, higher compared to 555,636 votes gathered by Marcos.
Robredo’s running mate, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, also won in Iloilo.
He earned 448,171 votes in the province and 107,465 votes in the city, higher compared to 364,898 votes garnered by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Robredo and Pangilinan were also Number 1 in the whole Western Visayas region.IMT
