Star Creatives, one of ABS-CBN’s production units, is eyeing Iloilo as one of the shooting locations of the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.
In a press conference, Henry King Quitain of Star Creatives said heritage houses are needed in the storytelling.
“We are looking at Bacolod, Iloilo and Negros kasi doon ‘yong mga heritage houses,” he explained.
According to Quintain, ABS- CBN was allowed to put a Filipino twist to the adaptation, which will be headlined by Anne Curtis, Carlo Aquino, and Joshua Garcia.
The remake will be a collaboration between ABS-CBN and streaming platform Netflix.
Last year, the second season of hit TV series ‘The Iron Heart,’ was entirely shot in Iloilo.
In 2022, Iloilo also served as a filming location of the Philippine remake of the Korean TV series ‘A Love to Kill.’IMT
