It has travel component through photo exhibits of popular destinations specific to farms and inland resorts with participating inland resorts doing their marketing and promotions,” said Iloilo Provincial Tourism Officer Gilbert G. Marin.
He also highlighted that this is the longest local travel and trade fair that exclusively promotes the various offerings of the Iloilo province in terms of destinations and local produce.
DOT-6 Regional Director Cristine Mansinares lauded this initiative as it provides a venue for various tourism stakeholders to showcase and promote their products and services.
“Lakbay Lokal will help rebuild our local tourism communities including our artisans, farmers, and tourism enterprises as we prepare to safely reopen. We support the efforts of the Iloilo Provincial Government and SM City Iloilo in staging this local event that ensures inclusive tourism that benefits everyone,” she noted.
