The province and city of Iloilo have recorded more than 2,500 deaths related to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) since the start of the pandemic.
Iloilo province’s COVID-19 death toll, based on the Dec. 4 report by the Department of Health (DOH-6), stood at 1,631, the highest in the whole Western Visayas region.
In Iloilo City, the number of deaths increased to 894.
The total number of COVID-19 in the province and city reached 49,562 and 35,842, respectively.
Of the province’s figure, 47,000 have recovered and 881 are considered active cases while the city’s number include 34,937 recoveries and 127 active cases.
The province and city are currently under the least restrictive COVID-19 Alert Level 1.IMT
