The province and city of Iloilo will remain under Alert Level 3 until February 15, acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles announced on Sunday, Jan. 30.
The retention of Iloilo’s quarantine classification was approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Emerging Infectious Diseases on Jan. 29.
The rest of Western Visayas will also remain under Alert Level 3.
The region has a total of 170, 849 cases of COVID-19, the Jan. 30 bullletin issued by Department of Health (DOH-6) showed.
The figure includes 145,812 recoveries, 4,798 deaths and 20,280 active cases.
Iloilo province accounted for the highest number of active cases with 4,251, followed by Iloilo City, 3,967; Negros Occidental, 3,575; Aklan, 2,293; Capiz, 1,832; Antique, 1,708; and Guimaras, 151.IMT
