The province of Iloilo is the overall winner in the Best in COVID-19 Pandemic Response category of the 2021 Digital Governance Awards.
Iloilo clinched the top award for its Provincial Civil Defense COVID-19 Case Referral System (ProCiD CaReS).
ProCiD CaRes is a brainchild of Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. to enhance the hospital referral system among the province’s district hospitals.
The DGA is an annual search for best practices in local government units (LGUs) in utilizing information and communications technology (ICT) to effectively and efficiently deliver its public services directly to its constituents and to its business stakeholders.
This award-giving event is organized by the ICT Industry Development Bureau (IIDB) of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), in partnership with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP).
“The DGA shares the vision of establishing indices for local government units across the country in harnessing the potentials of ICT towards raising the bar in delivering public service,” the DICT said.IMT
