Jungco, Rico not included in Treñas’ final line-up for city councilors

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas’ two executive assistants were not included in the purported final council slate for the 2022 elections.

They were Rudiver Jungco Sr., EA for Sports, and Fernando Jose “Boyet” Rico, EA for Barangay Affairs.

On Monday afternoon, Sept. 27, the mayor reportedly convened his group and they chose the so-called final 12.

Jungco and Rico have been visible in various barangay affairs and posters bearing their names are also hanged around the city.

Based on reliable sources, the final 12 councilorables are Urminico Baronda, former City Health Officer and father of Congresswoman Julienne Baronda; Miguel Treñas, the mayor’s son; lawyer-broadcaster Sedfrey Cabaluna; Veterans Village punong barangay John Eric David; lawyer Rex Sarabia; businessman Johnny Young; and incumbent Councilors Romel Duron, Ely Estante, Rudolf Ganzon, Carlos “Jojo” Javellana, Frances Parcon, and Alan Zaldivar.IMT
