Aside from promoting Iloilo’s rich cultural heritage, the world-famous Dinagyang Festival also highlights sumptuous Ilonggo dishes.

Kaon Ta, Iloilo! (KTI), the largest online food communities in Iloilo, will join Dinagyang’s food fest for the first time.

KTI, which has more than 103 thousand members on Facebook, will hold Kaon Ta, Iloilo! Dinagyang 2020.

This Ilonggo food-centered activity is co-presented by Panay Electric Co. (PECO), the sole power distributor in Iloilo City.

Cidj Jalandoni of KTI said they want to show the world that there’s more to Iloilo than just its famous batchoy.

A total of 50 food kiosks on Arsenal Street in the City Proper have been exclusively allotted for KTI members.

Jalandoni said their kiosks will offer various food items at “very competitive” prices.

Kada isa ka kiosk lain-lain ang i-offer nga pagkaon. It’s very diverse that I am sure magustohan ninyo. It’s like that our main goal is kon pwede lang baklan mo tanan kay lain-lain ila baligya,” he said.

Kaon Ta, Iloilo! Dinagyang 2020 will run from Jan. 24 to 26.

PECO, meanwhile, will be providing free food vouchers to its valued customers starting Jan. 20.

The vouchers will only be given to the first 1,000 PECO consumers on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Just present the official receipt of the latest payment that you made together with your PECO bill and proceed to the 2nd floor lobby of the PECO office building in order to claim your vouchers,” PECO said.

According to the power distributor, payment of latest PECO bill on or before the due date entitles its customers to receive P200 worth of vouchers that they can redeem at any Kaon Ta Iloilo kiosk during the period.

“Since we have the sponsors who have been very generous sa amon, we tried to make it a point that the overhead expense sang aton tenants will not be high so that maka focus gid sila into creating great quality food para sa aton tanan,” said Jalandoni.

“We are not just selling food, we are also selling an experience,”he stressed.IMT
