President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Negros Occidental Rep. Jose Francisco “Kiko” Benitez as the new director general of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) made the announcement in a Facebook post today, August 16.
Benitez will replace Suharto Mangudadatu, who resigned on July 31 to prepare for the first parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
“Benitez… brings with him a wealth of experience in education, development, and public service,” PCO Secretary Cheloy Garafil said in a statement.
“His extensive academic background and commitment to sustainable development make him a well-suited head of TESDA,” added Garafil.IMT
