Lambunao, Iloilo Mayor Reynor Gonzales has been admitted to a hospital after testing positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The fully vaccinated chief executive is experiencing “very mild” symptoms of the viral disease.
Gonzales’ two office staff and one driver also contracted the coronavirus.
Contact tracing is ongoing for those who have been in close contact with the mayor and his three other personnnel.
Lambunao is among the towns in the province with high number of active cases of COVID-19
As of October 17, the town has recorded 968 confirmed cases, of which 779 have recovered, 11 have died and 168 are active.IMT
