The Land Transportation Office (LTO-6) in Jaro district, Iloilo City has been placed under lockdown to break the transmission of the novel coronavirus among its employees.
The temporary closure, which started at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 13, was ordered to pave the way for the thorough disinfection of the office.
According to the LTO-6, four of its personnel tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The four are asymptomatic or have not manifested any symptom of the disease. They are currently being “isolated”.
Other personnel also underwent real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests. Their results are still pending.
There is no exact date yet when the LTO-6 will return to operation.IMT
