A 39-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, Jan 28, for alleged libelous social media posts against his former employer in Iloilo City.
The arrested man was a resident of barangay Calumpang in Molo district, according to Police Lieutenant Darius Alinsasaguin of the Regional Anti-Cybercime Unit.
Alinsasaguin said the man made posts in 2023 accusing his former employer of being a “scammer.”
The arrest was based on a warrant issued by a court due to charges of violating Section 4(c)(4) of Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Bail was set at P10,000 for his temporary liberty.IMT
