A 25-year-old man was killed by his elder brother during a heated argument inside their house in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district, Iloilo City Sunday evening, Sept. 19.
The victim, identified as Pio Jay Jabatan, sustained a fatal stab wound in his chest. He was taken to a hospital but was later declared dead.
According to Police Major Mark Anthony Gesulga, chief of Manduriao Police Station, the suspect, identified as Eldrick Jabatan, 30, came home drunk.
“Based on our investigation, the two had a heated argument about a cellphone charger,” he said in an interview over radio station Bombo Radyo-Iloilo.
The suspect is now under police custody.
The family has no plan to file charges against the suspect.IMT
