President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has urged all political parties to work together to unite the country and improve the lives of all Filipinos, rather than fostering division and conflict.
At the recent party covenant between the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas and the Nacionalista Party, Marcos Jr. said political disagreements among political parties are a pointless waste of time and energy.
Contentions could be more productive if leaders used them to transform the country into a more progressive nation and improve the lives of all Filipinos, according to him.
“And it is very clear in my view and I think it has now been manifested, it has now been demonstrated by these alliances that it is also an understanding, it is also a consensus between our leaderships, the leaders of our country that unity is the key for us to move forward,” the President said.
“If we are spending our time, our resources and our energy with opposing one another, for political means, then we have very little time, resources, and energy left for transforming our country into a better place, to transforming the lives of our people,” he added.
Marcos Jr. also enjoined all the members of the administration coalition, described as the “largest political bloc” in the country, to continue working towards making the Philippines a better country for all Filipinos.IMT
