President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has urged Filipinos to embrace discipline in all aspects of life and contribute in nation-building.
“Tuwing Bagong Taon ay hindi nawawala ang usaping New Year’s Resolution: Bagong Taon, Bagong Panimula, Bagong Ako, Bagong Pag-asa, at idagdag na rin natin– Bagong Pilipino!,” Marcos Jr. said in his PBBM VLOG: Bagong Taon, Bagong Piliino! on Sunday, Jan. 12.
The President added, “Dahil sa inyong pagpapabuti at pagpapahusay ng sarili, sa anumang bagay, maliit man o malaki, lahat po ‘yan ay nakakatulong sa pagpapaganda ng bansa natin.”
A “Bagong Filipino,” he said, should practice discipline within themseves, at home, and in public spaces.
Marcos Jr. also encouraged Filipinos to focus on health and fitness goals, execise discipline in social media use, avoid street altercations, and refrain from littering.
The Chief Executive also called on Filipinos to adopt a mindset of excellence over mediocrity, emphasizing the importance of innovation and technological progress.
Marcos Jr. concluded.IMT
