President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has named broadcaster Erwin Tulfo as the next secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
In a press briefing on Monday, May 30, Press Secretary-designate Trixie Cruz-Angeles said Tulfo, brother of Senator-elect Raffy Tulfo, accepted the offer along with four others to join the incoming Cabinet of the Marcos administration.
Aside from Tulfo, Cruz-Angeles said Christina Frasco, who is the spokesperson of Vice President-elect Sara Duterte, will serve as secretary of the Department of Tourism.
Former Manila Rep. Naida Angping will lead the Presidential Management Staff.
Angping is also part of the transition team of the Marcos’ camp.
Marcos also nominated Amenah Pangandaman to lead the Department of Budget and Management, while Ivan John Enrile Uy will head the Department of Information and Communications.
Pangandaman served as DBM assistant secretary, while Uy chaired the Commission on Information and Communications Technology.PNA
