Marcos says family ‘okay’ with Aquinos: ‘We just don’t agree politically’

The families of the Aquinos and the Marcoses have always been okay, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said Wednesday, July 10.

“We just don’t agree politically,” Marcos Jr. said in a media interview in Rizal.

The President was reacting to the recent visit of Kris Aquino’s sons to the office of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

The meeting was “personal,” he said, adding that Liza is the aunt of Josh and Bimby.

“Ang kanyang auntie ay napangasawa si Don Pepe (Cojuangco), the eldest brother of (former president) Cory (Cojuangco Aquino). So, they are related. Kaya’t hindi naman nakakapagtaka, kilalang kilala niya ‘yung mga pamangkin niya very well,” Marcos Jr. explained.

“So, they came at nagbiyahe sila, bumalik may dalang pasalubong. Iyon lang naman. Dinala nila ‘yung pasalubong kay First Lady,” he added.IMT
