President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has urged the Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM) to remain focused on their mission and not be distracted by political noise.

Speaking to soldiers at Camp Guillermo Nakar in Lucena City, Marcos said, “Huwag kayong nalilinlang sa mga nangyayari. Let’s stay focused.”

The President reminded the soldiers that their mandate is to defend the people and the Republic.

“Let’s keep that mission clear in our mind,” he said.

Meanwhile, Marcos Jr. praised SOLCOM for its successes in fighting communist insurgency and reminded them about the country’s transition from internal to external defense amid the current geopolitical situation.

He further commended the Armed Forces of the Philippines for their response to recent natural disasters.IMT
