President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the government is working hard to ensure that Filipino products reach the international market.
“The government is able to put you now into not just the local space, but the digital space so that you are now working in the world market,” Marcos Jr. told micro, small and medium enterprises during the Manila FAME in Pasay City.
He also assured that the Department of Trade and Industry and all relevan t government agencies will work together to help Filipino products gain recognition worldwide.
In his speech, the President highlighted the significant contribution of the creative industry to the Philippine economy.
In 2023, the creative industry made up 7.1 percent of the country’s economy, contributing P1.72 trillion in goods and services and providing jobs for 7.26 million Filipinos.
“So, all of the reasons for us to do this and to do it properly are there for the government, for the country, for all of our practitioners,” said Marcos Jr.
