A 28-year-old “military analyst” is challenging Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. in the 2025 gubernatorial race.
Mary Frances Noble, a resident of Barangay Baybay Sur in the town of Miagao, filed on Tuesday, Oct. 8, her certificate of candidacy for governor.
In a media interview, Noble said she decided to run because she has “better plans for Iloilo” and she wants to help Filipino migrants in the United States (US).
“[To those] who can vote [for] me, I’m willing to give a better future for our people in the province of Iloilo,” she told reporters.
Noble, Defensor’s lone challenger, claimed to be a military analyst in the US.IMT
