The number of tourists who visited Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan increased in February this year from the previous month.
The Malay Tourism Office recorded 174, 364 tourists in the second month of 2024. The figure was higher compared to 172,913 in January.
Of the latest figure, majority or 122,621 were domestic tourists; 59,755 were foreigners and 1,988 were overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and overseas Filipinos.
The tourism office is aiming to welcome 2.3 tourists this 2024, slightly higher than last year.
