The newly renovated McDonald’s store along Megaworld Boulevard in Mandurriao district, Iloilo City reopened on Monday, Jan. 15.

“We are so excited to share a fresh and exciting dining experience with the Ilonggos in what is now known as the ‘most modern McDonald’s store’ in Iloilo,” said Eugene Reducino, Choice Gourmet Banguet, Inc. (CGBI) managing director.

CGBI is the company that operates the McDonald’s store inside Iloilo Business Park (IBP).

The redesigned McDonald’s NXTGEN store, which can accommodate up to 250 diners at any given time, showcases several “first-in-Iloilo” features, including McCafe, Tandem Drive Thru, and the Bike and Dine facility.

“I remember that this store used to be the biggest McDonald’s store in the entire Iloilo province when it first opened in 2014. A decade after, we still celebrate lots of exciting firsts in McDonald’s in IBP, including being the biggest in terms of seating capacity among all McDonald’s stores in Iloilo City,” said Reducino.

The overall design of McDonald’s IBP follows the Ray Palette concept, the fast-food giant’s signature global design scheme standard that emphasizes space and lighting.

The store has the iconic signature yellow staircase, similar to the one seen at MCDonald’s Times Square in New York City.

Dine-in guests can place their orders via the store’s Self-Ordering Kiosks (SOKs) where they can also pay for their meals via digital payment channels before waiting to claim their orders at the counter.

To allow diners to charge their smartphones, wireless charging ports are installed at communal tables.

The store will also have a bike repair station, and a dedicated e-vehicle charging station and several solar lamppost soon.

McDonald’s IBP temporarily closed its doors in November last year to make way for the renovation.IMT
