Police Colonel Leo Batiles gets a warm welcome as the new director of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).
The former chief of the Police Regional Office’s (PRO-6) Headquarters Support Unit replaced Police Colonel Uldarico A. Garbanzos.
A turnover ceremony was held on Monday, Nov. 8.
Batiles was also a former force commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB-6) and was assigned to police stations in Roxas City in Capiz; Nabas, and Altavas in Aklan; and Escalante City, and Sipalay City in Negros Occidental.
In his speech, Batiles vowed to maintain the present peace and order situation of the city.
He also expressed his support to the city government’s plans and programs that aim to keep the residents and visitors safe and secure.
Moreover, Batiles, who asked for support from the men and women of ICPO, committed to continue the intensified cleanliness policy of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Meanwhile, Garbanzos thanked all the ICPO personnel for exerting their efforts to keep the city peaceful and orderly during his stint as director.
He also thanked Mayor Jerry P. Trenas and the people of Iloilo City for trusting his leadership.IMT
