Malacañang has not received any information from Interpol regarding possible arrest warrants for former president Rodrigo Duterte’s co-accused in the International Criminal Court (ICC) probe into his war on drugs.

At a Wednesday (March 12) press briefing, Palace Press Officer and Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said the government would respond the same way it did with Duterte if more warrants were issued.

“As of now, wala po kaming nare-receive na information kung meron pa pong darating na warrant of arrest through the Interpol,” said Castro.

“Kung meron man po, ganun pa rin po ang magiging tugon namin. Kapag hiningi po ang koordinasyon ng administrasyon, tutugon pa rin po tayo,” she added.

Duterte was arrested Tuesday, March 11, by Interpol and local police in connection with alleged crimes against humanity during his time as Davao City mayor and president. His administration faced numerous human rights abuse allegations tied to his anti-drug campaign.IMT
