No new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were recorded in the province of Iloilo in the last two weeks.
The number of patients who tested positive for the deadly disease in the province remained at 18, based on the May 10, 2020 bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6).
The last confirmed case was reported on April 26. It involved a 31-year-old male from the town of Zarraga.
The province’s 18th patient is a personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP-6).
Of the total cases in Iloilo, 11 recovered and four died of the disease.
The sum of the recoveries and deaths brings the number of active COVID-19 cases in the province down to three.
Two of the three remaining infected patients are residents of Lambunao and the other one is from Zarraga.
In Iloilo City, the number of COVID-19 cases went up to 16, with four recoveries and one death.
Yesterday, May 10, the city recorded one new case of COVID-19.
The city’s latest patient is a 39-year-old female from Arevalo district.
Half of the total coronavirus-positive patients in the city are residents of Arevalo.IMT
