A third-year nursing student from Central Philippine University (CPU) bagged the top crown at the Miss Iloilo 2022 pageant.
Candidate No. 8 Dorothy Marie Gemillan clinched the Miss Iloilo 2022-Universe title during the Pageant Night held on Saturday, Jan. 22.
The La Paz, Iloilo City native was crowned by Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo.
Gemillan will represent the city during the official screening of Miss Universe Philippines.
Meanwhile, Elisha Lorraine Abella of Jaro district and Blessie Jay Villablanca of La Paz took home the Miss Iloilo 2022-Binibini and Miss Iloilo 2022-World titles, respectively.
Abella is currently working as badging officer at Legato Health Technologies while Villablanca is a fashion model, online English teacher, and a student of Iloilo Doctors College taking up Doctor of Dental Medicine.
They will be the screening candidates of the city for this year’s Binibining Pilipinas and Miss World Philippines.
Tsina Jade Chu of Anilao and Erica Doronila of Sara were 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.
The pageant is one of the major activities of the Iloilo Dinagyang Digital 2022.IMT
