Since the COVID-19 vaccination rollout started in March this year, Western Visayas has so far inoculated 17. 54 percent or 244, 623 of the 1,386,185 persons master-listed under Priority Group A.

Those eligible for vaccination under Priority Group A are frontline health workers or A1, senior citizens or A2 and persons with co-morbidities A3.

Dr. Bea Camille Natalaray, DOH-6 medical officer IV, reported during an online press conference on Monday, June 6, that Western Visayas received 137, 420 doses of vaccine from Chinese firm Sinovac Biotech and 127, 200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.

As of June 5, a total of 71, 548 received their second dose, 67, 421 of them got vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine and 4, 127 received AstraZeneca jabs.IMT
