Over 140,000 now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19 in Iloilo City

A total of 140,781 individuals in Iloilo City have already gotten the complete protection of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines.

This comprised 26.82 percent of the city’s target population of 525, 000 for COVID-19 inoculation.

Of the figure, 30,000 were inoculated with single-dose Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) vaccine; 88,806 received China’s Sinovac vaccine; 16, 605 were vaccinated with UK’s AstraZeneca vaccine; and 5,370 got US’ Pfizer vaccine.

Meanwhile, 203,429 individuals or 38.75 percent of the target population had their first dose. Around 114, 901 of them received Sinovac; 52, 478 got AstraZeneca; 5, 390 got Moderna; and 660 got Janssen.

Iloilo City needs to vaccinate 70 percent of the target population in order to achieve herd immunity against COVID-19.IMT
