Thousands of families in the province and city of Iloilo were affected by Tropical Storm Paeng (int’l name: Nalgae).

The number of affected families rose to 41, 857 or 164, 128 persons, according to the Oct. 30 report by the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC-6).

They were from 336 barangays in Iloilo City, Passi City, and 29 towns in the province.

Meanwhile, the validated number of affected houses was at 30, eight of which were totally destroyed and 22 were partially damaged.

The provincial government has recorded one casualty in San Juaquin town with one missing in Passi City.IMT
