The Iloilo City Government is spending P30 million for the face-to-face celebration of the Dinagyang Festival in January next year.

The amount will be released to the Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. (IFFI), the main organizer of the world-renowned festival.

“As we open Dinagyang to face-to-face performances and activities next year, we want to strengthen our support to IFFI,” said Mayor Jerry P. Treňas.

Specifically, the budget will be used to “subsidize the different participating tribes, prizes for the competitions, and all other Dinagyang-related expenses”

On Wednesday, Nov. 23, the city government and IFFI inked a memorandum of agreement to formalize the collaboration.IMT
