The Iloilo Provincial Capitol Complex Redevelopment Project’s Package 2 is now “75 percent complete,” according to the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO).
Package 2, which involves the landscaping of the Capitol grounds, is being undertaken by contractor Roprim Construction.
Work on Package 2 started in May 2018 and was supposed to be completed in March 5 this year.
Provincial Engineer Gracianito Lucero said the delay was due to the contractor’s “limited manpower and equipment.”
The provincial government alloted P69,803,507.30 for Package 2.
The P400-million project has four packages. Package 1 is the construction of multilevel parking area (P185 million), Package 23 is the redevelopment of the area sorrounding the Western Visayas Regional Museum (P52 million), and the Package 4 is the improvement of the power station (P18 million).
