The province of Iloilo has recorded its first casualty due to Tropical Storm Paeng.
Genevev Nacion, 25, of Barangay Ginot-an, San Joaquin town was found dead near a river in Barangay Guibonga Bayuan on Friday night, Oct. 28.
The victim died from drowning and sustained numerous wounds on her body, according to the Municipal Police Station.
The police said Nacion was swept away by strong current of water.
The tropical storm also left one missing in Barangay Alimono, Passi City.
Based on data from the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC-6), 30,892 families or 121,367 individuals from 18 towns and one component city were affected by Paeng.IMT
