President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared May as Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month to promote efficient government services and a business-friendly environment.

Through Proclamation No. 818, issued on March 3, Marcos Jr. tasked the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) to lead the annual observance and organize related programs and activities.

The proclamation, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, directs all national agencies, GOCCs, and LGUs covered by the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007 (Republic Act No. 9485, as amended) to coordinate with ARTA. The private sector and NGOs are also encouraged to participate.

Under RA 9485, ARTA oversees anti-red tape policies, recommends regulatory reforms, monitors compliance, and conducts training to improve government efficiency.

Malacañang said the administration remains committed to streamlining services, boosting economic growth, and enhancing bureaucratic efficiency.IMT
