The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) is eyeing to hold the 2025 FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup in Iloilo.
During their courtesy call to Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr., PFF president John Gutierrez said they are considering making Iloilo as host for the international competition’s stage matches of the competition..
Defensor expressed his full support and offered assistance to PFF to ensure that Iloilo meets the requirements for next year’s hosting.
The FIFA Technical Team is set to inspect the intended venues for the competition next week to assess the state of readiness and recommend improvements to meet FIFA competition specifications.
The competition will take place in November 2025 wherein 16 countries will qualify for the competition including four from Europe (UEFA), three from Asia (AFC), two from Africa (CAF), three from South America (CONMEBOL), two from North/Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) and one from Oceania (OCF).
The Philippines rounds out the competing countries as the host.IMT Sports
