Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado has warned foreign nationals against engaging in illegal online gaming in the Philippines.

“Anyone caught engaging in illegal work without proper documentation will face the full force of the law. Our operations will be relentless,” Viado said in a statement.

He made the statement after 35 Indonesians were deported for working at an illegal online gaming hub in Cebu.

Viado said the Bureau of Immigration will keep working with other government agencies to ensure that those involved in illegal activities are brought to justice.

“We remain committed to upholding the President’s directive to ban such activities,” he added.IMT
