President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has urged Filipinos to stay peaceful and prioritize safety during the Lenten season.
He described the “Bagong Pilipino” as someone who stands for the country, values peace, and practices safety—especially on the roads. Magbigayan tayo, maging mapagkumbaba,” he added.
The President cited recent road rage incidents and reminded the public to stay calm and follow traffic rules. He also warned against copying pranksters or vloggers who disrespect others just to gain online attention.
Kaya’t nakakalungkot na makitang naaabuso ang ganito nating katangian,” he said.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Marcos Jr. will spend time with his family starting Maundy Thursday.
