Police personnel and officers in Western Visayas have been reminded not to upload TikTok videos while wearing their official uniform.

Brigadier General Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director, said posting of videos on TikTok and other social media platforms is prohibited.

The prohibition is stipulated in a memorandum issued by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in October 2022.

“Police officers may use TikTok only if it is part of an authorized PNP activity or a sanctioned initiative related to law enforcement,” Wanky said.

However, he stressed: “For personal purposes, wearing police uniforms in such content is strictly prohibited.”

Those who were found violating the order will be facing administrative charges, said Wanky.IMT
