The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA-6) calls for support to the second round of Survey on Costs and Returns (SCR) of palay production slated on February 6 to 17.
In a press release, PSA noted that the survey aims to generate and update the data on the cost structure of palay production.
Further, it seeks to determine the average use of materials and labor inputs, measure profitability, and other socio-economic characteristics of palay farming.
A total 962 sample households all over Western Visayas will be interviewed with July to December 2022 as reference period.
Some data items to be collected from the undertaking include sample identification, basic characteristics of the sample farm, farm investments, materials inputs, labor inputs, other production costs, basic marketing and credit information, access to support services, problems related to production and marketing, and effects of climate change, among others.
With this, the PSA enjoins sample households to provide required information to authorized statistical researchers during the personal interview set to be held.
Per report, the first round of the same survey, with January to June 2022 as reference period, was conducted in July 2022.JBG/AGP/PIA 6
