The reopening of direct flights from Manila to Paris will further strengthen the long-standing bilateral relations between the Philippines and France, according to French ambassador Marie Fontanel.

In a Palace presser, Fontanel described the nonstop direct flights, which will begin in December, as a Christmas wish granted to many Filipinos and French people.

“So definitely this is a very important milestone to strengthening our bilateral relation,” the ambassador said.

Air France-KLM announced on Tuesday, Sept. 10, that its airline the will operate three times a week — Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

The flights will complement existing services of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, which is currently operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.IMT
