The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered Atty. Christian G. Sia to show cause within a non-extendible period of 10 days from notice as to why no disciplinary action should be taken against him.
This follows a complaint filed by Attys. Allen Liberato-Espino and Michelle A. Laserna-Adricula, accusing Sia of making sexist remarks about single mothers.
In a letter dated April 7, 2025, the GABRIELA National Alliance of Filipino Women urged SC to investigate the same incident and impose the appropriate disciplinary action on Sia.
It can be recalled that Sia made a joke stating that he is willing to sleep with women who are single parents once a year if he is elected.
He is running for representative of Pasig City’s lone congressional district.IMT
