Mayor Jerry Treñas expressed delight over the selection of Iloilo City as the filming location of the second season of ABS-CBN’s hit series The Iron Heart.
“A warm welcome to the stars and staff of ABS-CBN Entertainment and Star Creatives! We’re excited to have you here, and we can’t wait to witness the magic you’ll bring to our city,” Treñas said in a statement.
“This incredible opportunity showcases the progress and recognition Iloilo City has gained nationwide. It’s a testament to our city’s rich heritage and vibrant community,” he added.
The action-drama series is expected to showcase the city’s “breathtaking landscapes, historical landmarks, and diverse culture.”

The Iron Heart, which premiered in November 2022, is topbilled by Richard Gutierrez as Apollo/Tisoy, an undercover agent who “goes on a dangerous mission to bring down a crime ring.”
