The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has hoisted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 over Iloilo due to Tropical Storm Kristine.

In its bulletin issued at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, the state weather bureau said Kristine maintains its strength while moving west northwestward over the sea east of Quezon.

Kristine, at 7 a.m., was located 310 kilometer (km) east of Baler, Aurora or 310 km east northeast of Infanta, Quezon.

It is moving west northwestward at 15 km per hour (kph), packing maximum sustained winds of 85 (kph) with gusts of up to 105 (kph) and central pressure of 985 hPa.

PAGASA also placed Aklan, Capiz, Antique (including Caluya Islands), Guimaras, and the northern portion of Negros Occidental (including Bacolod City), under Signal No. 1.IMT
