The provincial government of Guimaras has made necessary preparations in anticipation of the influx of passengers going to and outside the island province for the highlight of the Manggahan Festival.
Special trips of Roll On – Roll Off (Ro-Ro) will be made available from May 19 to 23.
According to a press report from the Guimaras Public Information Office, the Iloilo Commercial Port Complex in Loboc, Lapuz, Iloilo City will be utilized temporarily to avoid congestion at the Iloilo River Wharf in Lapuz Norte, here.
One vessel of F.F. Cruz Shipping Corporation will cater these special trips.
The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has issued guidelines for the said special trips.
Only four-wheel non-cargo vehicles can be catered at Iloilo Commercial Port Complex while Ro-Ro vessels that will stay at Iloilo River Wharf in Lapuz Norte can cater passengers and cargo vehicles.
The scheduled departure of ships from Iloilo Commercial Port Complex are: 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 in the morning. It will also have afternoon departure schedules from Iloilo at 1:30pm and 3:30pm.
