Iloilo City Representative Julienne “Jamjam” Baronda is open to a possible reconciliation with estranged friend City Councilor Plaridel Nava.
“Hapos magpatawad but kinanglan mo lang gid nga maghalong. Ang Diyos nagapatawad, sin-o man kita, indi kita Diyos,” Baronda said in an interview on IMT Conversations.
The lady lawmaker and Nava took different paths in 2019. The latter became a staunch critic of Baronda who won the congressional race.
Despite Nava’s tirades against her, Baronda remained unfazed, believing that elected officials should not be onion-skinned.
“Tanan nga gakalatabu may mga rason, many people indi man naton macontrol. Muna gani nga lain-lain ang tawo, individual differences. Para sa akon, for as long as ginahimo ko ang para sa syudad sang Iloilo, buhaton naton para sa kaayuhan sang tanan,” she said.
Baronda wished Nava good luck.
“Spread love and allow love for mankind no matter what. Naugot ka man sa tawo, init man ulo mo sa tawo but at the end of the day, we are here, gintagaan kita sang mandate sang pumoluyo para mag-serbisyo,” she said.IMT
