A senior high school student was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay San Jose, Arevalo district, Iloilo City on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
The suspect was identified as Sam Deanrick Saenz, 19, of Barangay Lopez Jaena Norte in La Paz district.
Operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU-6) and Arevalo Police Station also nabbed John Rick Valentino, 36, of Barangay Ingore, La Paz.
Seized from the suspects were 23 sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing 170 grams worth some P1.1 million.
Police Lieutenant Glen Soliman, RPDEU head, said they have been monitoring Saenz, who is considered a high-value target, for almost two months.
Detained at Arevalo Police Station, the suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.IMT
